Constant commenter Annie sent me this photo of a pecan pie she made for me. (Click to see a larger version.) Mind you, it's staying in St. Louis while I remain in New York, and it's Annie who gets to eat it.
But it's totally mine. Gorgeous, no?
Which reminds me. Get in the Halloween spirit, kids. Start reading Xmas Carol today. The story begins on Halloween night. (Hey, what can I say? I have to flog the book because no one else is. See how that works?)
And now, if you don't mind, I'm just going to enjoy my pie. Mmmmm.

Funny how you worked in that Xmas Carol promo. Nothing better than a good book to go along with a great piece of homemade pie. ;-)
Enjoy.......
You're so right. I think I'll make pecan pie the official food of the novel, Xmas Carol. (As you may recall, pizza is the official food of The Worlds blog.)
