I'm not looking forward to a major dental procedure today. But on the other hand, I'm glad I can afford it.
How did dentistry get so expensive, and what idiot ensured that it wouldn't be covered by insurance? People have dental problems, just like they have heart problems. Why is one uninsured while the other isn't? I really don't get it.
(I often wonder how people survived before there was such a thing as dentists. I assume this is a big reason why people didn't used to live as long, way back when. Dental issues aren't minor.)
And what about people who can't afford to visit a dentist? Why has our "advanced country" ignored this entire area of human concern? It doesn't sound very "advanced" to me.
And now, off I go to meet the drill.
