No memory whatsoever

From the New York Times today:
The potential proliferation of both conventional and unconventional weapons in Libya after six months of civil war is a "key concern" for the United States, a senior American official said Wednesday.
Excuse me, but . . . weren't we just handing out guns to these people by the truckload a few weeks ago? And now we're worried about weapons proliferation?

There's no one in charge of continuity anymore. Just say any old thing and that's that; you won't be questioned. I send a shout-out to our fearless press: "You stupid twits! It's your failure that's bringing this country to its knees."

The USGovt hands out a variety of goodies like it was Halloween and then low and behold, they can't remember who took what from the goodie grab bag.

It's deja vu all over again.

Deja vu all over again. That was Yogi who said that, right? He said such great stuff, like baseball is all half mental. He had a magic mouth. I keep meaning to look for a full list of all his expressions, but I'm afraid it'll be like eating far too much chocolate. Perhaps it's best to hear his quotes now and again rather than read them en masse.

Just one more before we call it a night...

"I never said most of the things I said." ~Yogi Berra

I think Yogi once said some of things they say he said, he never really said. They just sound like something he'd say. Or maybe he forgot he said them. Either way you gotta love Yogi. One of my faves, he talks of a restaurant: It's always so crowded nobody goes anymore.

Funny. I never heard the crowded one before. He's quite a guy and they treat him like a baseball god. It's appropriate.
