As planned, I wrote the synopsis for Xmas Carol yesterday. And today I wrote the cover letter. Now all I have to do is edit them to death and the book will be on its way to the publisher. I'm going to send it to Tor Books. Among horror and sci-fi publishers, I find Tor the most appealing. Here's hoping.

Well, it's almost outta here. Hey, I'm recording today's Cubs game. Unfortunately, it's against the Dodgers, who are totally boring. Still, I'll watch. Maybe "your" baseball announcers will say something that ends up in the Language of Baseball posts.
I hope it's Len and Bob. Though they don't make the Keith's great announcers list. Maybe I will have to start watching the White Sox (shudder)..well I can watch, I don't have to root for, right?
Harrelson is also crazy and seems like a rightwing nutjob. I get those vibes from him. I don't love HIM, I love the things he says. I sat Carmine down one day last summer and played a recording of one of his games, and he loved the guy, too. You ought to hear Harrelson's yell when the Sox hit a home run. But we love him for his weirdness, not his greatness. You have to see the guy in action to understand. White Sox hater, eh? Ah, well.

PPS Are you familiar with Leonard Cohen? Strange and wonderful singer/poet. You really have to listen to the words of his songs. I will be adding him to my poet list in the future.
