Well, we kinda knew it was coming. As I said here many times, there were probably very good reasons why the gays in Buenos Aires hated Francis when he was a cardinal. The truth begins to emerge:
This reminds me of why I tell new acquaintances that I'm gay. I don't want to become friends with them, and then discover that they're cavemen when it comes to gay issues. So as I say, we didn't spend too much time on this fellow. It'll be easy to toss him aside. And that's a good thing.
Bye, Frankie!
Pope Francis reportedly was "shocked" by a bill that would allow gay couples to adopt children in Malta.Apparently the new direction is the same as the old direction, minus the red shoes. Here's a bit more from the story (which is short but has many links, in case you're interested in the topic):
Maltese Bishop Charles Scicluna told the Times Of Malta that he spoke with Pope Francis about the bill and the pope encouraged him to speak out against it.
Despite his July comments, the pope has a long history of being against gay rights. He has come out strongly opposed to same-sex marriage and called it "a destructive attack" on God's plan.Francis, we hardly knew ye. I suppose it was inevitable but this is still dreary news. Ah, well. It's not like we invested heavily in the guy. We'll just toss him out with the garbage. Our lives will go on, just as before.
